Abstract

This paper is divided into two sections. It starts by examining how to include games and game-like components in the classroom. To this aim, three distinct educational approaches—gamification, game-based learning (GBL), and games design—are discussed. The benefits of meaningful gamification for students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are then explored, with an emphasis on constructivism theory.
