    Abstract

The UK Digital Curation Centre publishes ‘How-to’ guides that provide research data stakeholders with a working knowledge of curation topics. One of these is ‘How to cite datasets and link to publications’. It provides guidance on including in one's writing both in-text citations and full bibliographic references for datasets, points out some common challenges and suggests strategies for dealing with them.
