High performance PONs based on I-Q modulation of electronic CDMA channels

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time I-Q modulation of two electronic CDMA channels using electronic transversal filters. Two in-quadrature channels with chip rates of 18 Gchip/s show the potential for 40 Gb/s throughput ECDMA PONs.
