N2 - This study explores the predictive power of virtues from positive psychology on self-perceived educational competencies among 5th and 6th-grade students. Using a quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, regression, and cross-sectional design, data were collected from 993 students via validated questionnaires. The logistic regression analysis revealed that six virtues significantly influence students' perceptions of their competencies, with Transcendence standing out as a particularly strong and consistent predictor across multiple competencies. These findings underscore the substantial impact of virtues on student development. This study introduces the Positive Competences Assessment Theory (PCAT), which advocates for the integration of virtue-based interventions and character strengths into educational programs. PCAT aims to enhance the assessment of subjective competencies, improve educational interventions, and support the overall well-being of students.
