FM mode-locking in monolithic semiconductor lasers

Abstract

FM mode-locking in monolithic semiconductor lasers is investigated for the first time, using a travelling-wave laser model. The effects of phase modulation depth and non-zero alpha factor on pulse quality and pulse-width are discussed.
