EXAFS studies of ceramic proton conductors

Abstract

We report the results of EXAFS studies of rare earth doped SrCeO3 and BaCeO3, two systems that are important proton-conducting oxides. Using Gd doped SrCeO3 as an example we outline the strategy of the measurements and the way they are compared with parallel atomistic simulations.
