Abstract

A trimeric palladium complex results from the reaction of Pd(OAc)2 and the sulfoxide 1. A section of the structure of this complex, which is obtained enantiomerically pure in the (R,R) form and contains two dative and two covalent bonds to palladium, is shown at the bottom on the right.
