Abstract

The potential of post-photodetection electronic equalisation to provide a link-length extension of × 2 to × 3 in installed-base multimode-fibre datacommunication links at 10 Gbit/s is demonstrated by the first statistical analysis of equalised worst-case multimode-fibre links.
