Davide Mattia is a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Bath, UK. His research interests include the development of novel materials for highly selective membranes for liquid separations, the use of membranes for environmental remediation and the use of membranes for materials' manufacturing. He currently holds an EPSRC Established Career Fellowship in Water Engineering and is a past holder of a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship. He is a Fellow of IChemE and a chartered engineer. He received his MEng from the University ‘Federico II’ of Naples, Italy, and his Ph.D. from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
