Abstract

This paper describes how a dynamic PV array system can provide an adaptive renewable energy source for a marine platform and analyzes the effect of irradiance variation, pitch and roll on the energy produced and how the losses induced by these effects can be mitigated using a dynamic PV array with power electronics switching to reconfigure the PV panels in real time-using hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation.
