Abstract
High-Throughput Screening (HTS) is a very common method of identifying lead compounds for development into drugs. The most common targets are enzymes, catalytic proteins which perform chemical reactions in the cell. In this article, Matthew Lloyd discusses the opportunities and challenges with this approach.
