Abstract
Photonic crystal fibers with broadband ultra-flattened dispersion in normal and anomalous regimes was demonstrated. The transmission loss was measured to be less than 0.09 dB/m from 1450-1750 nm and there was no observed loss due to bending for bend radii greater than 10 mm. No transmission occurred for bend radii of 6.5 mm or less. The results show that the fabrication process can be precisely controlled to select the required value of dispersion.
