    Abstract

An electromagnetic micro-generator is described, based on a planar pick-up coil and flexible polyimide membrane of diameter 2 mm with attached magnet. During large amplitudes of vibration of the device, the membrane displacement characteristics become nonlinear due to the spring stiffening effect, limiting the maximum generated power to 0.3μW.
