Abstract

The overall structure and the local structural features of the superconductor-related cuprate Gd2Ba2CaCu2Ti3O14 were determined by the simultaneous fitting of the data sets of five EXAFS spectra and a powder X-ray diffractogram with a single structural description. The method is particularly suitable for materials that do not exhibit perfect crystalline order.
