Abstract
This document provides designs for a hypothetical thin-shell concrete floor structure. The system comprises precast textile reinforced concrete shells of uniform thickness, prestressed steel tension ties and a non-structural granular fill material such as demolition or excavation waste, as shown in Figure 1. It has been developed through research at Bath and Cambridge universities, with the aim of creating materially efficient and low-carbon building structures.
