Abstract
Some of the design and fabrication parameters of air/nitride reflectors were theoretically and experimentally investigated. Factors limiting the performance of the air/nitride mirror structure were also studied. The reduction in mirror reflectivity with increasing grating period was calculated by taking multiple reflections into consideration.
