Abstract

The influence of the ridge position on the cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode in a single-ridge waveguide is analyzed by the finite-element method. The cutoff wavelength con be adjusted by changing the ridge dimensions as well as by adjusting its position. More design data are presented. (C) 2002 Wiley Periodicals. Inc.
