Continuous-wave 3.1 μm gas fiber laser with 0.47 W output power

Abstract

We demonstrate 0.47 W of continuous-wave 3.1μm output from an acetylene-filled hollow-core fiber when pumped by a diode-seeded EDFA at 1.53 μm. The laser action is dominated by amplified spontaneous emission.
