Composition and analysis of the nanobimetallic catalyzer of Au-Pt/Cys/Au

Abstract

The Au-Pt/Cys/Au electrode was prepared by self-assembling nanobimetallic particles on Au substrate modified with Cys and is characterized with SEM method. UV-vis, TEM reveal that the prepared Nanobimetallic particles are of Au alloy structure. The average diameter of the particles is less than 10 nm. The distribution of the particles can well controlled by assembling time. The electrochemical performance of Au-Pt/Cys/Au electrode is tested by cyclic voltammetry method. The result shows that the electrode of Au-Pt/Cys/Au has good electrocatalytic activity to methanol.
