Abstract

This article comprises a set of commentaries provided by scholars in the field for the discussion paper by Mor , Orsenigo and Speranza. Though all appreciate the integration of optimisation and Machine Learning, and considered the topic to be timely and challenging their views also highlight several aspects that ought not to be ignored. The authors then produced their responses to these challenging commentaries in a concise and forward looking spirit. For simplicity, the commentaries are put in alphabetical order of the authors surnames.
