Clinical psychology at doctorate level: Hopes, expectations and reality

Abstract

With a recent reduction in training places on the clinical psychology doctorate training programme, achieving a place has become increasingly difficult. Here, I reflect on the expectations we have of ourselves, and of the course, when these hopes are realised.
