Abstract

The concept of care bundles and the background to their development is explained in this chapter. All processes should be delivered regularly and highly reliably, and be evidence based. For effective implementation of a care bundle teamwork and communication are required and culture change may be needed. Examples of care bundle use in perioperative patient management are given.
