Abstract

The Maglev Cobra vehicle uses the Superconducting Magnetic Levitation (SML) technology. For the daily operation is necessary to have an efficient liquid nitrogen supply system. Thus, this work proposes an automated alternative supply of cryogenic LN2 pots with speed, efficiency and safety. Using for this purpose, cryogenic solenoid valves, sensors that detect liquid nitrogen at the outlet vent, signal transmitters, a PLC to control the logic of the system and HMI with a 15 inch screen installed in the vehicle so that the operator can trigger the supply of all cryostats from inside the vehicle.
