Abstract

We demonstrate the first experimental realization of an aperiodic slotted-lattice silicon wire, exhibiting multiple high-transmission defect states for dense wavelength-division-multiplexing. Direct control of field localization in real-space comes via engineering the aperiodic lattice Fourier components.
