Abstract

This work investigates the problem of H fixedorder filtering design in continuous-time Lur'e systems with sector-bounded nonlinearities. The conditions, formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities, rely on a quadratic Lyapunov function and are solved through an iterative algorithm. The novelty comes from the fact that the matrices of the filter realization appear in isolation, being treated as decision variables of the optimization problem. Numerical examples demonstrate the advantages of the proposed approach, which can be less conservative compared to other existing methods.
