Abstract

We find adiabatic four-wave mixing in optical fibers allows efficient, near-octavespanning near-infrared to mid-infrared conversion. Simulations indicate several possible fiber platforms, extending one-to-one broadband frequency conversion both to high-repetition-rate and high-energy applications.
