Abstract
Antimony sulpho-iodide has been synthesised from the single-source precursors S(CH2CH2S)(2)SbI or (CH2S)(2)SbI by a novel intramolecular decomposition pathway which involves elimination of 1,4-dithiane whilst preserving the weak Sb-I bond. Both precursors have been characterised by X-ray crystallography. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
