Abstract
This paper discusses the significance of the Movement of the Unemployed, (MTD) in Argentina, with a particular focus on the project of the Coordinadora de Trabajadores Desocupados Aníbal Verón. The paper looks at the Piqueteros? ?silent revolution? and assesses their political project. It will be argued that the project of the MTD, based on the claim that human dignity should be the fundamental value for a social change, it is not only significant for the politics of resistance in Argentina but must be also considered part of the new internationalism initiated by the Zapatistas in 1994.
