Abstract

The presentation is a critical review on the windows used in houses and their impact on both environment and energy performance. The review report consists of :
characteristics of window systems, window energy balance and rating systems, windows in passive and active houses, impact of windows on energy and environmental performances in dwellings and economic factors of window applications.
