Abstract

Metallation of diphenylphosphine with ZnEt₂ (5:3 equiv.) in thf produces {[EtZn(μ-PPh₂)]₃·(HPPh ₂)₂·thf} 1, which is shown by X-ray crystallography to have a Zn₃P₃ core in which Ph₂PH ligands act as donors to two of the zinc centres.
