Abstract
Metallation of diphenylphosphine with ZnEt2 (5:3 equiv.) in thf produces {[EtZn(μ-PPh2)]3·(HPPh 2)2·thf} 1, which is shown by X-ray crystallography to have a Zn3P3 core in which Ph2PH ligands act as donors to two of the zinc centres.
