1.3W ripple-free Superluminescent LED

Abstract

The experimental char acterisation of high-power, ripple-free Superluminescent Diodes is presented. Record-breaking output optical powers from anti-reflection coated tapered contact devices have been achieved. Spectral modulation is suppressed by utilising a V-groove etched deflector.
