10Gbit/s singlemode operation of two-dimensional-lattice distributed reflector laser

Abstract

A single longitudinal mode laser has been produced using a two-dimensional-lattice distributed reflector grating. The device exhibits singlemode suppression ratios of > 27 dB with a small signal bandwidth of 11GHz and stable spectra under modulation at 10Gbit/s.
