Work experience, information revelation and study effort: The case of year-long industrial placements

This project will develop a theoretical model of the effects of labour market information on academic performance. Labour market information is revealed to those students who take up year long professional placements. This may impact their academic performance if their placement experience reveals the labour market value of a threshold degree classification. The implications of the model will be tested empirically using data from Economics Department students.
