Project Details

Description

We will host a community event in Retrofit Street in which residents will gather and tell their street stories. This will be weather dependent and may use a resident garden or space in Knowle West Media Centre to which we have access. The event will take place over half a day likely on a Saturday morning when residents will be available.

Residents will work with an artist in residence (funded by TH) to generate narratives of past experiences and future aspirations for their homes and street in different formats. These narratives will inform TH by identifying key research questions based on personal experiences of living in these properties directly shaping design decisions (Involving). They will also seed a new funding application for the community design code (Empowering). This will be through community creative visioning of possible design futures for their street.
