Description
This project addresses urban violence in disadvantaged urban areas such as favelas in Brazil and banlieues in France. It focuses on the political analysis of police violence against residents, and its representations in film, literature, media and popular culture. Led in collaboration with UFRJ Rio de Janeiro, the project focuses on police violence in Greater Paris and Rio de Janeiro from the early 2000s till today.
