Project Details

Description

The University of Bath has signed up the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers (https://researcherdevelopmentconcordat.ac.uk/), and the 10 days of development time given to research staff comes from university’s commitment to the principles of this concordat. As a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you are encouraged to take 10 days professional development to gain new skills and knowledge. This project seeks to leverage the 10 professional development days allocated to postdoctoral researchers by providing financial support to help them develop research independence through a competitive small funding competition. The primary outcome is to help the individual to develop their ideas, pilot new concepts/ experiments/ models/ simulation work, access support, or undertake small exploratory projects (perhaps supported by a paid student/ RA) which might form the basis for future work.
