Project Details
Description
My partnership model is not yet finalised (currently communicating with Bath Healthy Later Living Network, Bath Psychology (management of chronic pain in older people) and Age UK Bath & North East Somerset). I aim to establish a relationship with the ageing community, promoting patient-driven research through shared ideas and lived experience. This phased co-production approach will impact my research on creating healthy muscle environments for older individuals.
Phase I: identify activities suitable for frail individuals with potentially reduced independence. Measurable outputs will be discussed with the afore-mentioned parties who have previously engaged with the ageing community.
Phase II: easily accessible in-person event, exploring mutual understanding around the topic of ageing muscles and methods we are employing in my group to address some of these issues.
Phase III: reflect on feedback towards improving future engagement-research networking events (plans to expand model across British Geriatrics Society, Dunhill Medical Trust and Versus Arthritis).
