Layman's description

High-performance fibres (both mechanical and physical properties) are of great interest in various applications that range from bioengineered meshes, composites in vehicles and aviation to flexible electronic (e)-textiles. It is possible to transform polymer fibre properties with the addition of a variety of nanomaterials using a coagulating solvent and optimised processing including nanomaterial-polymer interaction, solubility and spinning parameters.
