Description
Introduce randomness into fuzzy cognitive maps to study mental disorders. This project consists of two parts. First, we created a static fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) as a simplified model of the brain, enabling us to interrogate the impact of mental disorders. The number of nodes and the causal relationships among them are motivated by the application to autism. Second, we incorporated randomness to the modelling of the network, thereby reflecting that we model a population of networks that may vary in their exact value of causal relationships between nodes and that may react differently to stimulus (i.e. illustrated by varying activation values following the exposure to the same stimulus).
