Project Details
Layman's description
This project seeks to identify ways to effectively communicate a complex public health issue – the commercial determinants of health (CDoH) – to non-health policy audiences. The CDoH describes the complex ways in which commercial actors and practices influence health and equity. While the concept of CDoH recognises the interconnectedness of health, economic development, social equity and environmental protection, lack of shared language around these complex problems is a key barrier to collaboration and cross-sectoral policy coordination. This project asks how we can shift policymakers’ perceptions of the CDoH by (re)framing strategies and solutions to align with their priorities, concerns and mandates.
