Description
The ability to predict future shoreline position along the world’s coastlines is a key priority for Coastal Engineers, particularly in the context of a changing climate. At the present time there is a lack of numerical models that are up to the task. Here we will collect unprecedented field-scale data of both the erosion and recovery processes, and use this insight to develop, calibrate and test a 2-D profile model that includes the key physical processes necessary for long-term coastal change modelling. The outcomes of this research will advance understanding of coastal vulnerability along Australia’s coastlines.
