Child trauma and PTSD: a longitudinal outcome study (ALSPAC study)

Project: Other

Project Details

Description

Child trauma is associated with the development of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other adverse psychological outcomes. However, there is little UK research which has considered the impact of trauma and PTSD on broader outcomes. We are requesting funds in order to utilise longitudinal data from the ALSPAC cohort to address this issue. Specifically, we wish to examine whether child trauma exposure and/or PTSD predict adverse educational, social or physical health outcomes.
