Project Details
Description
Parents of children with physical health conditions, neurodivergence, mental health challenges, and intellectual disabilities experience high stress and reduced wellbeing. Given links between parents’ wellbeing and children’s outcomes, this is vital to address. Across this range of conditions, parents report similar feelings of stress, financial pressures, and “care-co-ordination” demands. Support to deal with these challenges is inconsistent. We will work with parents, professionals and researchers from GW4 and beyond to identify what parents need, and develop a framework to support their wellbeing for parents of children with a range of diagnoses.
