An open source finite element ankle model for in-silico assessment of ankle treatment

Project: UK charity

Project Details

Description

Ankle pathology gives rise to substantial disability and pain, yet remains relatively under-investigated. Finite element modelling has played an important role in understanding disease and effects of different treatment for the hip and the knee joints. This work aims to create validated open source models of the ankle that will aid the research community to address the unmet clinical need for this joint.
