Accelerating Carbon Capability for an Equitable, Sustainable Society

Project: Research council

Project Details

Description

ACCESS seeks to understand what it will take for the diverse UK population to become more ‘carbon capable’. How can low carbon lifestyles be made fulfilling, desirable, affordable, and accessible to all? This project addresses this question through four tasks. Task 1 will combine insights from two national surveys with analysis of SERL data. Task 2 will involve in-depth qualitative research with (1) social housing tenants; (2) digitally excluded people aged over-60; and (3) first generation immigrants; and (4) micro businesses. Task 3 will develop a theoretical model for carbon capability, and Task 4 involves co-creating solutions with stakeholders.
