SEPP is the official journal of the Society for Sport, Exercise, & Performance Psychology, Division 47, of the American Psychological Association. In an effort to recognize and promote high quality research published in SEPP, in 2016, the Society together with the SEPP journal established the “paper of the year award”. The award is given annually to the first author of an article published in SEPP based on the article’s innovation, methodological rigor, quality of data analysis, significance of the issue, and quality of writing.
