ISBS Human-Equipment Interaction Sport Engineering Award 2026 (co-author), presented by the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports and Sports Engineering Journal
The ISBS Human-Equipment Interaction Sports Engineering Award recognises outstanding research presented at the annual International Society of Biomechanics in Sport (ISBS) Conference that advances the understanding, design, evaluation, or optimisation of sports equipment through the study of human-equipment interaction using biomechanical analysis. For the 2026 conference, all submissions within the scope of the award were considered and evaluated based on following criteria: scientific excellence, contribution to sports engineering and biomechanics, practical impact and translation. The top ranked 5 papers will present in a dedicated session at the conference this year, within which a judging panel will select the winners of the competition. This award is sponsored by the Sports Engineering journal in co-operation with the International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) and ISBS. Sports Engineering a dedicated journal for the application of engineering principles to sports, focusing on the impact of equipment and technology on athlete performance and safety.
