A bibliometric analysis of 996 Google Scholar-indexed publications on English Medium Instruction (EMI) and science education identified Macaro, Curle, Pun, An and Dearden's A systematic review of English medium instruction in higher education as the most highly cited publication in the dataset. The article ranked #1 among the ten most highly cited publications, with 697 citations, compared with 444 citations for the second-ranked publication.
