A bibliometric review of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) research published between 1974 and 2022 ranked Samantha Curle 5th among the most highly cited authors in the field, with 322 citations across the publications included in the analysis. Curle was also ranked 8th by publication output. The study analysed 1,378 Scopus-indexed documents and used bibliometric science-mapping methods to identify prominent authors and patterns of scholarly influence within the EMI research field.
