Mr
My current research interests focus on teacher beliefs, teacher training and teacher development. My PhD research aims to explore beiliefs about English language teaching and learning held by Chinese candidates after completing an MA TESOL-related programme in the UK. It further examines the perceived applicability of those beliefs in Chinese teaching contexts. The findings will show how sociocultural contexts influence language teacher beliefs and teaching practices. Practical implications will be proposed for novice and experienced teachers, teacher educators and teacher education programmes, especially MA TESOL-related programmes in the UK.
I am also a member of Centre for Research in Education in China and East Asia (CRECEA) in the Department of Education.
